The companies penetrating into the city market apply to the Department for economic development and facilitation of entrepreneurship. Department’s specialists provide Chamber members with regulatory materials related to the conduction of business in the North-Western area. The Department provide interaction with the bodies of legislative and executive power in the city on issues of economic development and facilitation of entrepreneurship, renders a broad spectrum of services to newly established enterprises, renders assistance on participation in tenders for obtaining state orders. Services: - Consulting, information, and other services to Chamber members on issues of economic development and facilitation of entrepreneurship.
- Advice on participation in contests, tenders, and auctions for obtaining government orders in St. Petersburg.
- Providing information on participation in state programs of entrepreneurship support including interregional cooperation.
- Providing regulatory materials to Chamber members relating to conduct of business in the Chamber’s region of activity by way of publishing relevant information in the SPb CCI news bulletin "Business-Inform".
- Organization of interaction between small, medium, and big businesses of the region on issues of coopera-tion and subcontracting.
- Providing for the work of commissions, work groups, etc. that are established by the Chamber on matters of economic development and facilitation of entrepreneurship.
- Organization of seminars, round table discussions and research and practice conferences on topical issues and problems of business operations.
- Collection, consolidation and analysis of information from Chamber members concerning factors that affect their business and, in particular, impede their development.
- Cooperation with legislative and executive government bodies of the city on matters of economic develop-ment and facilitation of entrepreneurship.
- Organization of public expert examination of draft laws related to the business conditions in the Chamber’s activity region.
